Sadly all the sports activities are not happening from over 2 months now due to the COVID-19 pandemic and it has greatly affected many people who are connected with sports industry.
Still, popular magazine Forbes is back with its list of 100 highest-paid athletes. The total earnings of top 100 athletes are calculated to be $3.6 billion for 2020 which is 9 % less than last year. It is to be noted that this year, some major shuffles have taken place in Forbes magazine list. The top rank has been acquired by Roger Federer for the first time as his pre-tax earnings have been calculated to be $106.3 million last year.
Also, it is the first time that a tennis player has secured the first rank in the list which is being released every year since 1990. Federer earned around $100 million through endorsements with the likes of brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Credit Suisse and others.

3. Lionel Messi – Earnings $104 million

6. Stephen Curry – Earnings $74.4 million
7. Kevin Durant – Earnings $63.9 million
8. Tiger Woods – Earnings $62.3 million
9. Kirk Cousins – Earnings $60.5 million
10. Carson Wentz – Earnings $59.1 million
Taking about the Indian athletes, only Virat Kohli has been featured in the top 100. India’s captained stands at the 66th position with estimated earnings of $26 million.
Also, only 2 female athletes have been featured in the list namely Naomi Osaka (29th position) $37.4 million and Serena Williams (33rd position).
