Sachin Bansal, CEO of Navi Technologies & founder of Flipkart, has recently shared a tweet expressing his feelings about opening up the lockdown for people who wish to work with necessary precautions. Bansal in his tweet said that ‘its time to open up the economy’.
He also said that people who want to move out for work should be allowed with the necessary precautions in place.
Whoever wants to stay at home can stay. And for folks who are venturing out should maintain precautions but allowed to work if they wish to.

The statement made by Bansal may divide the nation on opinion. His statement comes at a time when the global economy is witnessing a downfall due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Indian Government has been trying to work around the lockdown and there have even been talks about a modified lockdown. Nothing has been decided, however.
In India, the lockdown is scheduled to end on 3 May’20 but may entirely depend on the State’s CMs & Prime Ministers’ discretion upon considering the situation around the COVID19 cases. Meanwhile, many people have been struggling to survive. Though there are many initiatives put out to support the common people, there are still many who are getting impacted by both, the pandemic as well as the lockdown.
It is noteworthy that Bansal is not alone in the list of top executives who are urging their respective governments to lift the lockdown and resume the economy. Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, recently tweeted expressing his views about the lockdown. He said, “give people their freedom back”.
Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, on the other hand, is one of the many who endorses the ongoing lockdown to control the outbreak.
