AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB) has elevated Yogesh Jain as its Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO), effective July 25, 2026, following approval from the Bank’s Board of Directors.
The appointment comes as AU SFB strengthens its leadership team to support its next phase of growth, technology-led transformation and long-term strategic priorities. The Bank recently became the first institution in more than a decade to receive in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for its proposed transition to a Universal Bank.
A Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience in the financial services sector, Jain has been associated with AU for more than 16 years. He has played a key role in the institution’s evolution from a leading NBFC to India’s largest Small Finance Bank.
As Chief Operating Officer, Jain led the Bank’s enterprise transformation initiatives, overseeing technology modernisation, digital banking, operations, customer experience, credit cards, unsecured lending, treasury management, capital mobilisation, strategic planning and financial institutions. He has also been instrumental in building scalable technology platforms and driving operational excellence across the organisation.
In his new role, Jain will work closely with Founder, MD & CEO Sanjay Agarwal to strengthen enterprise-wide execution, accelerate digital transformation, enhance operational efficiency and support the Bank’s long-term growth strategy.
The Bank said the elevation reflects its focus on leadership continuity, institution-building and creating a future-ready organisation equipped for sustainable growth in an evolving banking landscape.
