Prime Video has showcased strong India and APAC viewership momentum at its inaugural Prime Video Presents: International Originals event in London, where it has revealed global data and previewed its upcoming Asian content slate for 2026. Spanish-language Culpables films have surpassed 100 million global viewers, with over 90% of audiences coming from outside Spain, signalling increased global demand for non-English programming.
The platform has highlighted Asia-Pacific as a core growth market, presenting upcoming anime, Korean, and Indian titles while emphasising rising global consumption of regional storytelling. According to executives, Japanese anime, Korean dramas, and Indian Originals have ranked among the most-watched titles outside their home markets.
India has continued to contribute significantly to international viewership, with three Indian series, The Family Man Season 3, Panchayat Season 4, and Paatal Lok Season 2, appearing in the global Top 10 non-English International Originals, representing around 30% of the chart. The showcase has also included a preview of the Indian Original film Don’t Be Shy, produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.
Prime Video has reinforced its anime strategy by presenting FIST OF THE NORTH STAR: HOKUTO NO KEN, THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, and From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Season 2 as part of a broader 2026 slate. Korean projects such as Siren’s Kiss, Absolute Value of Romance, Human x Gumiho, See You at Work Tomorrow!, Love in Disguise, and The Sacred Jewel have reflected continued investment in genre-driven regional storytelling.
Executives including Kelly Day and Nicole Clemens have presented Prime Video’s most-watched non-English International Originals list and discussed upcoming book adaptations, global co-productions, and franchise expansion plans. The event has featured talent appearances and previews of international titles from APAC, Europe, and Latin America scheduled for release through 2026.
Prime Video has confirmed that upcoming international movies and series will be available in more than 30 languages with extensive subtitle and dubbing options across over 240 countries and territories, supported by personalised recommendations based on country and language preferences.

“Prime Video is where international storytelling is thriving. What we’re seeing now is that audiences all over the world are finding content from lots of other countries that they really enjoy watching. This is happening more frequently, and Prime Video is where that’s happening. Technology innovations we’ve made personalizing our service around country of origin and language preference have made it so that audiences everywhere can enjoy movies and television from other places around the world. Streaming has uniquely enabled this, scaling up through social conversation, personalization, technical advancements, and AI, which allows us to deliver more personalized recommendations and a far greater volume of subtitles and dubs in over 30 languages.” – Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios International.
“There is so much opportunity to bring local stories, characters, and outstanding talent to global audiences, and we’re all already seeing huge success for both Prime Video, and the amazing talent.” – Nicole Clemens, Vice President of International Originals, Amazon MGM Studios.
