It is not the first time when a Bollywood celebrity has shown interest in a startup. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is the latest one to do so by investing an undisclosed amount in fashion tech startup StyleCracker. Alia said in an interview that this is a decision from the heart not mind. She even said “I am not actively looking for investments, but Archana has been my stylist for many years and when I came to know about StyleCracker, it seemed like a very logical move.”
This startup has been founded by Dhimaan Singh and Archana Walavalkar who now together own 65% of stake in the company. Currently, the company only makes female products but is looking to start doing same for the males too. StyleCracker had just launched their customized boxes 4 months back in the price range of Rs 2,999, Rs 4,999 and Rs 6,999 which were loved by their customers.
The startup founder Archana believes that this business model is one of its kind and is doing well since it started. She said she is surprised to see that there is more demand for 4,999 and Rs 6,999 boxes from tier II and III cities. The startup is aiming to serve 1 million customers a month in the coming days.
