Adobe & YouTube Team Up To Power The Next Wave Of Shorts Creators

The partnership has brought Adobe Premiere’s mobile editing tools to YouTube Shorts, giving creators a seamless way to craft, edit, and publish standout videos directly from the app.

Adobe and YouTube have announced a strategic partnership aimed at empowering millions of creators to produce high-quality content and expand their audiences. The collaboration has combined Adobe Premiere’s professional-grade mobile video editing features with the vast reach of YouTube Shorts through a new integrated content creation space- Create for YouTube Shorts- available soon in the Premiere mobile app.

The new space has been designed to allow creators to make, edit, and publish videos seamlessly to YouTube Shorts without leaving the app. It has provided access to a range of tools including AI-powered audio, precision multi-track editing, Firefly AI content generation, and ready-to-use templates, helping creators produce polished videos with ease.

Creators have also been able to access Premiere mobile’s video, audio, and AI capabilities directly from YouTube Shorts by tapping on the “Edit in Adobe Premiere” icon. This integration has allowed them to remix existing content, apply effects, transitions, and titles, and instantly share finished videos to Shorts.

The partnership has further aimed to simplify and enhance the content creation process for digital storytellers worldwide by offering exclusive effects, title presets, and customizable templates, while also supporting global creator growth and creative innovation.

“We’re excited to partner with YouTube to give creators the power to produce, share, and grow on the world’s biggest stage, YouTube,” said Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President, Digital Media, Adobe. “YouTube Shorts has become the ultimate launchpad for creators and bringing Adobe Premiere mobile’s pro-grade video editing tools to millions of YouTube creators helps them make amazing content and reach new audiences.”

“Our goal at YouTube is to meet creators where they are and give everyone the tools they need to make storytelling easier and connect with their audiences,” said Scott Silver, Vice President of engineering, YouTube. “This partnership with Adobe to integrate YouTube Shorts into Premiere mobile will give creators even more choice and access to more editing features to produce content the way they want, unlocking new ways for them to connect with their viewers and reach new audiences globally.”
