Kindness has become a rare emotion nowadays. The world has become disconnected from one another and it sometimes feels it’s all for some selfish reasons.
But sometimes, there comes a time, when someone comes along, and proves that humanity is still there. A recent incident from the Burger King at Botanical Garden metro station in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida is going viral on social media.
When a little girl turned up at the counter at the Burger King outlet located in the metro station with just Rs 10, an employee did something that won everyone’s heart.
Though the young girl has just Rs 10 and the burger she requested was for Rs 90, the employee behind the cash counter did not turn her away. He added Rs 80 from his own pocket and gave the child her burger.
One of the other bystanders took pictures of the incident and posted them on social media. Soon a lot of love for the kind gesture started pouring in and it did not take time for Burger King to take notice of what has happened.
Burger King did their due diligence and tracked down the humble employee and awarded him for his act of kindness. Burger King thanked the employee named Dheeraj Kumar with a small token of appreciation and shared it with a Twitter post.
This #WorldFoodDay, Dheeraj Kumar, working at our Noida Botanical Garden Metro Station restaurant, has inspired us all with his beautiful act of kindness. We had a very special guest who walked into our restaurant asking for a #burger but had only ₹10 with her. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/89oXh07sOB

We need more people like Dheeraj to make this world a better place with just one act of kindness. It truly does not take much to be good. A smile on someone’s face will go a long way more than anything else.
