Who doesn’t love exploring things? Especially when it about travelling and covering new places. Travelling industry is at its peak and technology is playing its part in guiding travellers to stay at new places without many issues.
The youngest man to travel all the countries on earth now wants to help others in doing the same by making their stay at different places easier and cheaper.
James Asquith completed the task of travelling all the countries in the world at the age of 24 and has launched a smartphone application that works like Tinder and helps people to connect with each other to swap homes. The price of the 1-night stay is $1 which is very affordable.
Holiday Swap works is not only for the nearby users but is a global scale platform that connects users looking for places to visit in 40 countries.
How Holiday Swap works?
Like Tinder, you have to make an account on Holiday Swap and when someone matches with you, you will get a notification and a pin that is added to your map available in the app itself. Also, there is an option of personal chat in which you can ask questions to clear your doubts regarding the place you are looking to travel to.
The price per bed is $1 for a single night stay and if you are worried about the damages the connected person can do to your property, you can use your home insurance, and there are plans beyond that for your safety. It is available to download for both Android and iOS users.
Challenges for Holiday Swap
Currently, the app is in its early days and a lot of changes are expected according to the problems users face with this. The deposit money is kept in a third-party account and can be returned when then it’s all done. To make this app away from fake profiles, the profile verification will be done manually instead of automatic options that are available. The moderation team can hide and delete any account which looks like a fake id.
More than a booking app
Holiday Swap is not only a booking app, it is a community where users will share their to do plans and places they are planning to visit. MyMap is a tool by which users can browse and pin places and let others know about it.
A guest blog for sharing travel experiences will be also available shorty and the goal is to make the travelling process easier than ever. This app really looks very promising and the future for travellers seems to be very bright with such facilities.
