“Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny and The Rolling Stones were among the highest music earners in 2022, according to the ranking.”

Forbes has released its list of the highest-paid celebrities in 2022. These performers received large payouts from the sale of their music libraries, streaming agreements, new albums & tours, and other sources.

.@taylorswift13 ranks No. 9 on the Forbes Highest Paid Entertainers list, making it the pop star's sixth time she’s made the cut.

Check out the list of the top 10 highest-paid celebrities for 2022 below:

Bad Bunny — $88 Million

The tickets for the Puerto Rican rapper’s two concerts, El ltimo Tour del Mundo & even the World’s Hottest Tour, were sold for more than $400 million. His music career expanded significantly last year, and he co-starred with Brad Pitt in the movie “Bullet Train.” Also, he signed endorsement contracts with Adidas, Cheetos, and Corona.

Taylor Swift — $92 Million

In addition to her popular “Midnights” album, Swift made the most of her money from the songs she released in earlier years. The singer-songwriter, who remains the sole woman on the list, has previously appeared on the greatest list six times. Add to that the incredible demand for tickets for her “Midnights” tour in November, which crashed Ticketmaster.

James Cameron — $95 Million

According to Forbes, James Cameron earned a minimum of $95 million from the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water.”

In addition to the original “Avatar” (2009) and “Titanic,” the 68-year-old filmmaker can now claim 3 of the highest-grossing pictures of all time thanks to the success of the movie (1997).

Rolling Stones — $98 Million

Last year, Mick Jagger & Keith Richards earned more than $8.5 million each night during their European tour, Sixty – named after its 60th anniversary – during which the band performed in 15 locations throughout the continent.

Brad Pitt — $100 Million

In December, Pitt sold Mediawan the bulk of his production firm, Plan B Entertainment. Forbes reports that Pitt made $113 million from the sale after fees.

The popular movies “Bullet Train,” “Babylon,” and “The Lost City” all featured the 59-year-old actor in 2022.

James L. Brooks & Matt Groening — $105 Million

The Simpsons, a popular yellow cartoon family in America, brought in more than $100 million in revenue in 2017. Under an April 2019 licensing agreement reached after Disney’s prior takeover of Fox for around $52 billion, all 30 seasons of FX were transferred to Disney+. According to people familiar with the transaction, show co-creators Brooks & Groening made a previously unknown $105 million yearly after fees.

Trey Parker & Matt Stone – $160 M

The wicked pair behind South Park enjoyed another successful year, courtesy to profits from a legacy HBO Max contract and Book of Mormon, their comedy musical (and satire) of “the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints”. The majority arises from their 2021 Paramount contract, which provides the couple with a $935 million guarantee over six years.

Tyler Perry – $175 Million

Simply refer to multihyphenate Perry as a Renaissance guy of the era. The actor, director, writer, and studio tycoon enjoyed another prosperous year owing to many revenue sources from movies, his BET TV series, and the sizable Atlanta production backlot that he completely controls. Perry, who is the only billionaire on the list with an approximate $1 billion wealth, is in his second year across Forbes’ top 10 highest-paid musicians.

The BET dramas “House of Payne,” “Assisted Living,” and “All the Queen’s Men” are directed, written, and produced by him.

Sting — $210 Million

He is the 17-time Grammy winner & former leader of The Police, and is best known for the singles “Every Breath You Take” and “Roxanne,” which made $300 million excluding fees in February by selling his entire discography to Universal Music Group. According to a veteran industry attorney, the British singer’s discography is “a respectable collection.” Would like to have that.

Genesis – $230 M

The progressive rock pioneers topped 2022 in September with a $300 million “music rights” deal to Concord Music Group. Publishing rights, a variety of recorded music revenue streams from the band, as well as Phil Collins’ solo revenue streams (including the hit song “In The Air Tonight”) and those of his colleagues Tony Banks & Mike Rutherford were also included in the agreement. Their revenue was filled up by royalties from recorded songs and touring.
