2. KGF: Chapter 2
The most expensive Kannada film to date with a budget of 100 crores, the Yash-Srinidhi Shetty starrer was dubbed in multiple languages. It is the second most-searched movie in India in 2022.
3. The Kashmir Files
Written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files is the third most-searched movie of 2022. The movie grossed over INR 300 crore worldwide.
4. RRR
SS Rajamouli’s RRR bags the fourth spot on the most searched movies list. The movie starred Jr NTR and Ram Charan along with Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles.
5. Kantara
The latest release and in the top 5 of the most-searched movies this year, the Rishabh Shetty-starrer was shot within 96 days on a budget of 16 crores. It managed to reach almost 188 crores within a month of its release.
6. Pushpa: The Rise
Among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time, this Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is sixth on the list.
7. Vikram
Starring the legendary Kamal Haasan, and two more national awardees Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi, the movie is seventh on the list.
8. Laal Singh Chaddha
The remake of ‘Forrest Gump’, Laal Singh Chaddha starred Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles. The movie is eighth on the list.
9. Drishyam 2
The suspense crime thriller is ninth on the list. With a compelling narrative and brilliant acting by all the actors, this movie had everyone eagerly awaiting its release for a long time.
10. Thor: Love and Thunder
The first non-Indian movie, most Googled by people in the country this year. This American superhero film is tenth on the list.
