Mafatlal Industries has appointed Priyavrata Mafatlal as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026, while he has continued in his role as Managing Director. The move has consolidated executive leadership within the company.
The company has aligned leadership responsibilities under a single role to streamline decision-making and execution. The development has come as the company has focused on expanding its presence in value-added segments and global markets.
In his expanded role, Priyavrata Mafatlal has taken charge of overseeing strategy and execution with a focus on scaling value-added businesses, strengthening global operations, and building long-term operational resilience. The company has aimed to improve capital allocation and align business verticals more closely through this transition.
The leadership change has followed the retirement of MB Raghunath as Chief Executive Officer upon attaining the age of sixty. He has concluded over three decades of service with the company.
During his tenure, Raghunath has contributed to strengthening operations and navigating industry cycles within the textile sector. He has now transitioned to the role of Designated Director – Strategy and Projects, where he has continued to support the company’s long-term priorities.
