Godrej Industries Group Unveils New Purpose & Brand Identity

Godrej Industries Group has announced a new purpose and brand identity as part of its next phase of growth. The development has aligned the Group’s identity, strategy and long-term ambitions across its businesses spanning consumer products, real estate, financial services, agriculture and chemicals. The announcement has been made at the Group’s headquarters in Mumbai.

The Group has introduced the purpose statement, “Crafting tomorrow since 1897,” reflecting its legacy and future direction. It has reiterated its core values—Inspire Trust, Create Delight and Be Bold—as guiding principles for leadership and decision-making.

Over the past five years, the Group has recorded over 20% CAGR in both sales and net profits. It has outlined growth targets of over 15% annual sales growth and over 20% EPS growth going forward, with each business expected to deliver more than 18% return on equity at a steady state.

The Group has also planned to expand its publicly listed platforms from three to five. These initiatives have been projected to contribute to a combined market capitalisation target of Rs 5,00,000 crore over the next five years.

In line with its sustainability focus, the Group has set targets including achieving net-zero operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2035 and building a planet-positive supply chain by 2047. It has also aimed to reach 40% representation of women, LGBTQ+ individuals and persons with disabilities across the Group within five years.

Additionally, the Group has strengthened its philanthropic commitments through the Godrej Foundation, which has created a cash corpus in 2025 to scale up its annual spending by five times.

Alongside the purpose, the Group has introduced a refreshed brand identity developed by its in-house design team, DISCO. The identity has included a new visual language, typography (GI Sans), sonic identity and signature fragrance to create a unified brand system across touchpoints.
