Ashwin Kumar has returned to Nike as Brand Lead for India, where he is set to oversee brand strategy, marketing initiatives, and integrated campaigns for the market.
He has shared the update via a post on LinkedIn, reflecting on his journey with the brand and expressing enthusiasm about returning to Nike for a new chapter in India.
Prior to this, he has most recently worked as a Strategic Marketing and Brand Consultant from January 2025. Before that, he has served as VP – Brand, PR amd Influencer Marketing at 82°E from February 2023 to November 2024. Earlier, he has been Communications Manager APAC at Novelship from March 2022 to January 2023, focusing on rebranding, communication strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
Kumar has also had an extensive earlier stint at Nike spanning August 2012 to March 2022, where he has held multiple roles including Communications Specialist, Senior Communications Specialist, Communications Specialist – Southeast Asia and India, and Targeted Communications – Southeast Asia & India. Across these roles, he has worked on regional campaigns, influencer marketing, digital communications, and large-scale global events.
He has begun his career at MSLGroup as an Account Executive, where he has managed client servicing, media relations, and communications across sectors including sports, telecom, retail, health, and entertainment.
