Maria Ersilia Luciani Takes Charge As Head Of Marketing Premium Chocolate – APAC-MEA At Ferrero

Maria Ersilia Luciani has started a new position as Head of Marketing Premium Chocolate – APAC-MEA at Ferrero. In this role, she has taken charge of leading the full marketing agenda for the Premium Chocolate category across Asia, India, Middle East, Africa, and Australia.

She has shared the update on LinkedIn, announcing her appointment and new responsibilities at Ferrero.

Prior to this, Luciani has held multiple leadership roles at Ferrero across regions and categories. Since January 2025, she has served as Head of Marketing Biscuits and Bakery – APAC-MEA, based in Luxembourg, where she has led the marketing strategy for the Biscuits and Bakery category across Asia, India, Middle East, Australia and Africa.

From September 2020 to February 2025, she has worked as Global Marketing Manager – Premium Chocolate in Luxembourg.

Between July 2015 and August 2020, Luciani has served as Area Marketing Manager for the Americas, overseeing the US, Canada, Mexico and Latin America markets, managing a €600 million revenue portfolio in Premium Chocolate.

Earlier, from February 2012 to June 2015, she has worked as Head of Marketing in Luxembourg, overseeing Israel, the Caucasus and Central Asia markets.

From September 2007 to February 2012, she has served as Area Senior Brand Manager – Emerging Markets, coordinating marketing strategies across Asia, South-East Asia, Middle East, India and South America. She has developed strategic plans, led portfolio development and product launches, managed P&L and pricing strategy, and aligned local strategies with group guidelines.

She has begun her journey at Ferrero earlier as Brand Manager from July 2005 to August 2007, overseeing Central Asian and Caucasus markets including Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, handling marketing planning, media strategy, brand launches, consumer research and BTL activities.

Before joining Ferrero, Luciani has worked at the European Parliament as part of the Directorate-General for Parliamentary Research Services from September 2002 to March 2003, where she has conducted research on EU-ACP cooperation and supported parliamentary committee activities in Brussels and Strasbourg.
