Rekha Rane has been appointed as Director, Films and Series Marketing at Netflix India, where she has been leading marketing strategy for films and series, overseeing brand and slate marketing, content promotion, and integrated campaigns aimed at strengthening audience engagement and driving content discovery across India.
Rane has shared the update about her new role through a LinkedIn post, where she has announced that she has started a new position as Director, Films and Series Marketing at Netflix India.
Prior to this, she has held multiple roles at Netflix over a tenure spanning more than seven years. She has worked as Head – Brand and Slate Marketing from March 2024 to February 2026. Between April 2023 and March 2024, she has been Manager, Original Films and Series Marketing. Earlier, she has been Lead, Product Discovery and Promotion – India from March 2022 to March 2023, based in Mumbai, and Manager, Marketing from December 2018 to March 2022, where she has overseen integrated marketing campaigns and driven brand awareness for Netflix’s content slate.
Before joining Netflix, Rane has worked at Amazon for over three years. She has been Senior Brand Marketing Manager from September 2018 to December 2018 in Bengaluru. Prior to that, she has served as Brand Marketing Manager from October 2016 to September 2018. She has started at Amazon as Marketing Specialist – Brand from June 2015 to October 2016, where she has co-created and managed integrated marketing campaigns and measured campaign performance against business and creative benchmarks.
Earlier in her career, she was Assistant Marketing Manager at Reliance Brands from April 2014 to May 2015 in Mumbai, where she handled retail marketing for Diesel and Superdry in India.
She has begun her career at Orange in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, where she has worked in Retail Sales and Marketing from January 2008 to July 2011 under a management trainee programme after starting as a part-time sales assistant during her undergraduate studies
