Aditya Kanthy has taken on the role of President and Managing Director of Omnicom Advertising India in the newly merged Omnicom-IPG structure. In this position, he has been responsible for leading the agency’s India operations, steering strategic direction, strengthening client relationships, and driving organisational integration under the new entity’s roadmap.

The formation of Omnicom-IPG has been one of the largest consolidations in the global advertising ecosystem. The merger has brought together several legacy networks, integrated operations across markets, and reshaped leadership structures, including India, aimed at streamlining capabilities, unifying offerings, and strengthening competitiveness across creative, media, and data-driven services.

Prior to this appointment, Kanthy has built a two-decade-long career across research, strategy, and advertising leadership. He has been serving as CEO and MD of Omnicom Advertising Group from October 2023. Before that, he spent nearly 21 years at DDB Mudra Group in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, where he held multiple roles. He served as CEO and MD from February 2019 to September 2023, after holding the position of Managing Director from July 2017 to January 2019. Earlier, he had been the Chief Strategy Officer from September 2016 to June 2017. He began his career in research as a Research Executive at TNS in Bangalore from May 2002 to December 2002, laying the foundation for his future leadership trajectory in the advertising industry.
