Big FM has appointed Ashit Kukian as its new Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, he has been tasked with steering the network’s strategic direction, strengthening revenue growth, and driving brand and content expansion across markets.
The move marks his return to a leadership role in radio after stepping down as CEO of Music Broadcast Limited (Radio City) earlier this year.
Prior to this, Kukian has built an extensive career across major media organisations. Most recently, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Radio City India from September 2018 to August 2025. Before that, he worked with iTV Network as COO–NewsX and CRO–Non News between May 2017 and August 2018. He has also held the position of President–Revenue at Times Network from November 2015 to May 2017.
Earlier, he has spent a decade at Radio City India as President and Chief Operating Officer from November 2005 to November 2015. His career began at Bennett Coleman & Co. (The Times of India), where he has served as Regional Head from December 1992 to October 2005.
