Kay Kay Menon has clarified that he has not been associated with a campaign video recently shared by the Congress party on social media.
The clip, which has featured Menon’s character Himmat Singh from the spy series Special Ops, has been edited and used without his consent. In the video, the actor is seen saying, “Ruko ruko yaar. Scroll karna bandh karo. Agar aap yeh reel dekh rahe ho toh iska matlab kya (Wait. Stop scrolling. If you are watching this, then what does it mean).”
The Congress party has posted the video on Instagram as part of its ‘vote chori’ campaign, which protests the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar. The campaign has alleged that the EC’s move could disenfranchise voters ahead of the state assembly elections.

The original promo, shared by streaming platform JioHotstar three weeks ago, has invited audiences to watch the new season of Special Ops.
Menon, has responded in the comments, saying, “Please let it be noted that I have not acted in this ad. A clip from my Special Ops promotions has been edited and used without any permission.”
Opposition parties have been protesting the SIR exercise in both Houses of Parliament, accusing the Election Commission of attempting to suppress voter rights in Bihar. The assembly elections in the state have been scheduled for later this year.
