Sunfeast Marie Light has launched the next phase of its nameplate equality campaign, this time across Karnataka, with actor Jyotika, after its completion in Tamil Nadu. The initiative has encouraged couples to display both partners’ names on house nameplates, a subtle yet powerful symbol of shared partnership.
The campaign has already received more than 3 lakh pledges in Tamil Nadu and now aims to make a similar impact in Karnataka. A survey conducted by Sunfeast Marie Light has found that nearly two-thirds of homes still bear only one partner’s name.
Consumers have been asked to give a missed call to 1800-315-7837 and pledge to the cause of having both partners’ names on the nameplate, the brand has also offered customized nameplate designs for couples who want to make the change.
The newly released TVC shows Jyotika being surprised with a nameplate that carries both her and her husband’s names, a gesture that symbolizes equality in their relationship. In the light-hearted exchange that captures the warmth of the moment, Jyotika reflects on how such small steps can build a stronger partnership. She ends with a heartfelt appeal to viewers, encouraging them to take that simple yet meaningful step toward equality at home.
