Recently, a renowned American IT ‘IBM’ has appointed Arvind Krishna, 57-year-old, as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He is all set to take over his new duties from April 06, 2020. The article is all about some lesser-known yet interesting facts about the figure.

1. Studies & Publishings
An IIT-Kanpur graduate along with a Ph.D. holder in electrical engineering (University of Illinois-Urban-Champaign), this brilliant operational leader has also co-authored 15 patents and edited IEEE & ACM journals.
2. Principal Architect
IBM rewarded and tagged Arvind Krishna as the “principal architect” of the firm’s Red Hat acquisition of $34 billion which has been done with, last July. The same acquisition has been considered one of the largest in the entire history of the company.

Arvind Krishna’s LinkedIn profile conveys the fact that he began working with IBM the same year he finished his Ph.D. i.e the end of the year 1990.

He happened to work as IBM’s senior vice president for cloud & cognitive software for the last year, the role he was being assigned in January 2019. His superintendence includes the IBM Cloud handle, as well as the IBM Security division & Cognitive Applications business.
