Forbes comes out with its list of powerful businessmen and businesswomen every year. This year, it has compiled a list of the most powerful women in the world. They might be residing in India or might be of Indian descent living in other countries, but we are truly proud of their endeavors in making India shine in its true spirits, with their efforts. These are the Indian women who have been ranked in Forbes’ top 100 list of powerful women, in 2020.
Renuka Jagtiani
Renuka Jagtiani is the Chairwoman and COO of the Landmark Group. The conglomerate is based in Dubai, and was founded by her husband Micky. Both of them run the operations for the business, with Renuka taking care of corporate strategy. She was listed on the 98th rank on Forbes’ list this year.
Nirmala Sitharam
Nirmala Sitharam is the current Finance Minister of India. She is an economist and politician, residing from Hyderabad, Telangana, and belongs to the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). She has been ranked the 41st rank on Forbes’ 2020 list.
Kamala Harris
Kamala Harris has just become the Vice President-elect of the United States of America. She has served as a US senator since 2017. She is the first person of Indian descent to be taking up such an honor in the USA and has been ranked on the 3rd rank in Forbes’ list of powerful women this year.
Roshni Nadar Malhotra
Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the Chairperson of HCL technologies. Being the only child of Shiv Nadar, she took up her father’s business and estate making her one of the richest women in India, and also one of the most powerful in India and the world. She has been listed at the 55th rank on Forbes.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw
Biocon Limited is owned by Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, one of the most reputed businesswomen and billionaires in India. She is a self-made woman, known as India’s richest, and also has a history of being the Managing Director of IIM, Bangalore. On Forbes’ 2020 list, she has been ranked at the 68th spot.
