Digital payments have been key in progressing transactions, more so ever since the lockdown was established in India. They are safer, encrypted forms of making payments across multiple channels without the need for any cash payments. Google Pay, PhonePE, Bank UPIs and even PayTM had already revolutionised this, and now, even WhatsApp Pay has come to the forefront. How is it going to help?
Imagine you are conversing with a client on WhatsApp and have to remind him of a pending payment. Rather than switching over to any other platform, he can go to the ‘Payments’ option under setting and send you the money within seconds. You will definitely need to activate your WhatsApp UPI as well to send and receive money.

The Unified Payment Interface (UPI) has already been mandated by over 160 banks in India. With WhatsApp coming into this bandwagon, more users will be able to facilitate payments with ease. Some users had already received the trial, but the official rollout came about yesterday and every user will soon receive the update.
