Vikas Purohit’s Professional Journey From Tata CLiQ, Paytm To Meta India.

Vikas Purohit will also collaborate with the creative and media ecosystems to accelerate the use of digital technologies among the world’s leading advertisers and agencies.

On Monday, the company said that social media platform Meta has hired Vikas Purohit as Director of Global Business Group in India to manage the strategy and implementation of the charter that is aimed at the country’s top advertisers and agency partners.

The head of Ads Business and director for Meta in India, Arun Srinivas, would be Purohit’s immediate supervisor, according to a statement from Meta.

Inviting Vikas to our team, Srinivas stated, “I am happy to welcome him as he joins our team to shape the role that Meta platforms can play in enabling companies, helping India’s economic growth, and creating the country’s digital advertising ecosystem.”

Purohit will be in charge of Meta’s interactions with the biggest companies in India and the agency sector. To drive Meta’s revenue and profit throughout key channels in India, Purohit will lead the company’s strategic relationships with the leading brands and agencies in the nation. He will also work with the creative and media ecosystems to expedite the use of digital tools by the biggest advertisers and agencies.

The primary agency teams, business solutions teams, and business vertical teams for the organization will report to him.

Who is Vikas Purohit?

Purohit, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, has over 20 years of experience in top business, sales, and marketing roles with organizations including Amazon, Reliance Brands, Tata CLiQ, Aditya Birla Group, and Tommy Hilfiger.

The newly appointed Meta Director of the Global Business Group in India began his career with the Aditya Birla Group before moving on to Tommy Hilfiger. Later, he became the chief of retail at Reliance Brands Limited. Purohit oversaw the development of Amazon Fashion at Amazon. His most recent employment had been at Tata CLiQ, where he began as COO before rising to the position of CEO. Purohit graduated from Bangalore’s Indian Institute of Management.
