Celebrity endorsements accounted for 30% of the TV advertising that was broadcast between January and June of 2022, as per TAM AdEx-Report.  Athletes and television personalities supplied 11 % and 4 %, respectively, of the advertising between January and June 22. Celebrities delivered over 80 percent of the advertising.

According to the celebrity charts, Akshay Kumar was the most visible name. His daily visibility averaged 37 hours across all platforms.

In addition, compared to Apr-Jun ’22, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Shah Rukh Khan, and Katrina Kaif promoted more companies during the July-Sept ’22 timeframe.

Big B placed third on the list of ad counts and supported the most products between July and September of 22.

Ranveer Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kriti Sanon and Katrina Kaif, were among the other names on the top 10 list, which included six female and four male Bollywood stars were accountable for more over 70% of the advertisements.

According to the data, the top three industries for celebrity endorsements are food and beverages, personal care and hygiene, and services. More than 80% of celebrity endorsements are found in industries such as hair care, household products, building, industrial & land materials/equipment, personal healthcare, laundry, banking/finance/investment, and personal accessories.

While male celebrities dominated the F&B sector commercials in Jul-Sep ’22, the Personal Care and Cleanliness ads primarily starred ladies. For the top 10 industries, the average celebrity endorsement ratio for male & female stars was 60:40.
