Top 10 Brands As Advertisers As Per BARC Week 20 Report

Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India has recently issued the data for week 20 for its top 10 advertisers and top 10 brands.

BARC India is a Joint Industry Company founded by stakeholder bodies that represent Broadcasters, Advertisers, and Advertising and Media Agencies.

Top 10 Advertisers (Week 20)

As per its recent report, Hindustan Lever Ltd. has topped the list of the top advertisers in India for the week 20 across all genres with 1,31,495 insertions. Followed by HUL was Reckitt Benkiser (India) Ltd with 67418 weekly insertions. ITC Ltd took the third position while GCMMF & Godrej Consumer products took the fourth & fifth positions respectively.

Top 10 Brands (Week 20)

Harpic Power Plus (Bathroom Cleaner) has become the number one brand for week 20 across genres. Harpic surpassed Dettol Toliet soap which was placed number one in week 19 of the BARC weekly report.

Harpic Power Plus had weekly insertions of 14408 while Dettol Toilet was placed fourth this week with 12113 insertions.

Despite decreasing its ad volumes by 18.4%, Lux Toilet Soap has retained its second-most advertised brand spot in week 20 with 14,293 ad insertions. Horlicks, on the other hand, climbed up the ladder to grab the third position despite increasing its ad insertions by 0.4% in week 20. MPL (Mobile Premier League), which was absent from last week’s top brand’s list, has claimed the seventh spot in week 20 with 10,388 insertions.

Meanwhile, Lifebuoy Toilet Soap, Social Message-Star Network, and ENO made an entry to the list in week 20 at eighth, ninth and tenth position, respectively.
