After running Thrive for nearly five years, Dhruv Dewan, Co-founder of the food delivery platform, has shut it down and moved on to a new role at Tata Digital.
In a LinkedIn post, Dewan wrote, “After five incredible years, we decided to wrap up Thrive. Navigating market dynamics and competing profitably in a space dominated by the duopoly of Zomato and Swiggy proved immensely challenging. While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, I’m incredibly grateful.”
“In this next chapter, I’ve joined Tata Digital, where I’m now focused on building the Electronics ecosystem, one that not only competes but aims to set new benchmarks,” he added.
Dewan has joined Tata Digital as part of the Business and Strategy division.
Previously, Dewan co-founded Hashtag Loyalty, a customer engagement and retention platform, where he worked for nearly a decade, from February 2015 to December 2024.
Before that, he was associated with Save Local as Partner, from March 2020 to June 2020. Prior to that, he worked with EY as Analyst, from June 2012 to June 2014 and later as Associate Consultant, from June 2014 to October 2014.
