ThinkROI, one of India’s leading digital media and creative agencies, has appointed Nitin Kalel as its new Director- Technology. He was associated with InterPublic Group’s Interactive Avenues in a similar role.
Joining ThinkROI with over 20 years of expertise in technology and digital innovation, his collaborative leadership fosters innovation and seamlessly aligns technology with business goals, leading to award-winning projects across industries.
That said, he had joined Interactive Avenues as UI Lead- Technology in April 2019 and was elevated to the role of Associate Director- Technology in April 2021, before becoming Director of Technology at the media agency in April 2022.
Before that, Kalel was associated with Hungama Digital Services for more than three-and-a-half years, between September 2015 and March 2019, as Senior Developer. During this time, he was responsible for UI Development, Project Delivery Schedule and Quality Monitoring. Previously, he served in a similar role at Hungama from March 2012 to August 2015.
In the past, he also worked with Mom Supplies, Hungama Digital Media Entertainment, Reliance Big Entertainment, People Interactive, M&N Consultancy, Amardeep Agencies, Bureau Veritas Group and more.
During the course of his two decades long career, one of the key projects that Kalel had spearheaded is ITC Sunfeast Biscuits’ groundbreaking AR campaign which enabled users to star in an ad with Shah Rukh Khan.
Having said that, ThinkROI, from the time of its inception to today has become one of the trusted names in the digital marketing space, with its success being built on delivering exceptional digital media strategies that combine creativity, technology, and data-driven insights.
Hence, with Kalel’s appointment, the digital media and creative agency is now set to redefine digital marketing by leveraging creativity and technology to deliver transformative results and set new industry standards.

This appointment reunites him with Suraj Talaulikar, ThinkROI’s Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, with whom he shares a history of successful collaboration as Talaulikar is a former creative leader at Interactive Avenues, Hungama Digital Services, Ogilvy, Isobar, TATA Interactive Systems, and, is known for pioneering campaigns across diverse sectors.
The duo of Kalel and Talaulikar had worked together extensively in the past on some of the groundbreaking solutions across various industries, which include FMCG (ITC, HUL), telecommunications (Vodafone), automobile (Bajaj Auto, Mahindra, Toyota), BFSI (Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda), pet products (Pedigree, Whiskas), hospitality (Carnival Cruise Lines), real estate (Lodha Group), music (Spotify), electronics (Sony), and many more.
