It seems like there’s a new winner on the block. With Richard Mille owning the first position by introducing the thinnest watch in the world – the RM UP-01 Ferrari – that costs approximately Rs. 9.5 crores! This brand owns the G-force-resistant watches known and loved by the world and has replaced Bulgari’s Octo Finnismo Ultra by 0.05 mm.
Turns out, the watch is wafer-thin and the only thing thick on it is its leather strap. This watch is a result of the brand’s collaboration with Ferrari which is bound to go on for five years. It will be seen on the wrists of some of the more popular celebrities soon.
Wondering how many pieces are available in the world?
Just 150. But that’s also a good number considering the price of the watch.
What does the Watch look like?
This watch boasts a unique design, straying away from Richard Mille’s usual style.
- Unlike the chunky trademark of the brand, this watch is light and cushion-shaped as a result of the collaboration between Ferrari and the brand.
- The movement has an ultra-flat escapement with a 1.18mm thickness which is not strapped to the back.
- The watch is claimed to be shock-resistant but the intensity has yet not been defined.
As per the brand, the watch took 6000 hours to build. Well, the results are surely worth the time and effort.
This might just be the watch of the decade. Are you excited to see this beauty in front of you?
