Swati Balani has joined FCB Interface as Executive Creative Director. In this new role, she will lead integrated creative mandates across mainline, digital, content, and social crafting brand ideas that are culturally relevant, strategically sharp, and built to scale.
She announced the same via a LinkedIn post.
Balani joins from BBH India, where she served as Executive Creative Director from September 2023 to March 2025. Prior to that, she was Creative Head – Digital at Sideways Consulting between January 2023 and September 2023, leading digital-first storytelling and platform-native brand work for clients across categories.
Balani spent close to eight years at AutumnGrey (now part of the Wunderman Thompson Group), where she held multiple creative leadership roles. She was Executive Creative Director from April 2018 to January 2023 and Creative Director – Copy from March 2015 to January 2023. Her campaigns during this period included category-defining work for Microsoft, Exide Life, and Pepsico.
She began her career at Ogilvy in 2009 and went on to work at DDB, Draft FCB Ulka, Mullen, and Apnapaisa in various creative roles building a foundation in digital writing, conceptual work, and integrated campaigns.
Alongside her advertising career, Balani is also the founder of Beaten and Baked, a homegrown dessert brand she launched in May 2021.
