Sambit Mohanty Exits McCann Worldgroup After Nearly Seven Years

Sambit Mohanty Exits McCann Worldgroup After Nearly Seven Years

Sambit Mohanty has exited McCann Worldgroup after serving as Creative Head for nearly seven years. He has been responsible for leading the agency’s creative function, overseeing brand-building initiatives, creative strategy and campaign development across client portfolios.

Prior to this, Mohanty has served as National Creative Director at JWT India from January 2017 to December 2019, based in Gurugram. Before joining JWT India, he had worked as Creative Head (North) at DDB Mudra Group from November 2013 to December 2016. Earlier, he had completed a previous stint at McCann Worldgroup as Executive Creative Director between September 2012 and October 2013.

Before rejoining McCann Worldgroup in 2012, Mohanty had served as Executive Creative Director at Bates Asia from April 2010 to September 2012. He had also worked as Creative Director at Elephant Design from September 2008 to April 2010 and as Creative Director at Leo from February 2007 to August 2008.

Earlier in his career, he had held the position of Associate Creative Director at Vyas Giannetti Creative between 2005 and 2007 and served as Creative Group Head at Publicis Advertising from 2003 to 2005. He had started his advertising journey as a Senior Copywriter at Lowe Lintas between 2001 and 2003, following a two-year stint as Copywriter at McCann Erickson from 1999 to 2001.
