#SaavdhanVishram: Kotak Mahindra’s New Video Campaign Is All About Positivity And Second Chances

In the wake of the devastating coronavirus pandemic, the majority of the world has been living under lockdown for a couple of months now. The Indian government as well implemented a nationwide lockdown on 24 Mar’20, all in an effort to control the spread of the disease.

With the recently announced 4th lockdown, we have completed nearly 2 months of social distancing and self-quarantine. From kids to adults, all have been doing their bit to control their impulse to go out in order not to endanger themselves or others. But in many states, the lockdown has begun to lift gradually.

Kotak Mahindra Bank’s #SaavdhanVishram campaign

Keeping that in mind, Kotak Mahindra Bank has recently released a video campaign that is encouraging people to be wise while stepping out of their houses. The concept behind this campaign is to spread positivity among the people of the country.

The song is composed and produced by Ram Sampath, and written & sung by a three-time National Award-winning lyricist/actor Swanand Kirkire. With the lyrics, Kotak Mahindra Bank aims at spreading a positive message and tells us how the pandemic has given a chance to think about our decisions in the past.

The animated music video with two main characters, namely Saavdhan Singh & Vishram Singh, is asking people to take a moment and think of what nature is trying to convey to us. With the second chance that we have received, we should try to do things differently this time.

With the campaign, the brand is trying to enlighten us that the new living situations might be difficult for us but we should think again and see the positive in it. We have got a chance to learn to appreciate the little things in our lives and we should make the most of it.

The words of the song ‘Slow Down… Slow Down… Be Wise… Be Strong…’ urge people to follow the social distancing norms even when the lockdown lifts. After all, that is exactly what has enabled us to fight with COVID19 so far.

The lockdown has saved a lot many lives which could have been adversely affected if it wasn’t imposed. However, one of the side effects is that it has put the economy of the country at a halt. Talking about the financial aspect, the brand has also asked us to be wise and save our money for the difficult times to come.

The lockdown and the pandemic in itself have taught us so many things over the past few months. Kotak Mahindra, a prominent name in the banking industry, has beautifully summed up all these lessons in one music video and that is exactly what we needed at the moment.
