If there is one celebrity in Bollywood we would never miss out on naming, it is Karan Johar.

He made his directorial debut in 1998, which earned him Filmfare awards. Since then, there has been no turning back for KJo, a brand in itself, who went on to make films that defined an era in Bollywood.

Hailed as the smartest guy in showbiz, this actor-director-producer-costume designer and talk show host has been the face of several brands- Britannia, Vivo India, Lenskart, Knorr Soups, Tata Cliq, KFC, Godrej Rich Crème, Dunhill, etc, for the past couple of years.

So, what makes the brand ‘Karan Johar so unique, that they can’t resist signing him up for endorsements? Let’s take a look.

1. Always in the news

Be it the heart of a party, his famed talk show, or the topics of cliché or nepotism, Karan Johar has been in the news every now and then.

This helps him be at the top of our minds, with so much to look forward to, from the man who gave the world blockbuster hits like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, SOTY, 2 States and Raazi.

2. Personality, Style, and Attitude

His quirky and fun-loving personality coupled with ruthlessness and ambition makes him one of the most accomplished directors in the industry.

His personal style is best described as eclectic, flamboyant, and the stuff of serious fashion goals.

In spite of being controversy’s favorite on many occasions, he is always seen to be focused on spreading positivity, love, and cheer. This is one characteristic that draws millions toward him.

3. Flare for business

With a net worth of over $200 million, Karan Johar is a force to be reckoned with.

The owner of Dharma Productions, which now has Dharma Cornerstone Agency and Dharma 2.0 in his kitty, Johar ventured into the jewelry business with his label Tyaani Jewellery, last year.

He also owns the fine dining restaurant ‘Neuma’ in South Mumbai.

This is helping strengthen his image as an entrepreneur too.

4. His movies

His movies have always had storylines and characters that the common man would aspire to be. His love for the rich and famous is evident, with characters as young as college students in his movies owning Lamborghinis, living in mansions, doing puja, and following customs.

Strong storylines, amazing musical background scores, fantabulous sets, and beautiful people- when combined together give you a Karan Johar directorial.

The glamour shown in his movies has helped him establish himself as aspirational.
