Rahul Nag has stepped down from his role as Director of Brand and Communications at Pocket FM, ending a four-year stint with the company. Nag joined Pocket FM at an early stage with a mandate to build brand recall and establish “audio series” as a distinct category.
Nag announced this move via a heartfelt post on LinkedIn.
During his tenure, he played a key role in shaping the platform’s narrative and positioning, contributing to its growth into a globally recognised audio storytelling brand. He was also the first member of the brand function, building and scaling the team from the ground up.
Prior to Pocket FM, he served as Head of Communications at ShareChat from October 2019 to September 2021, and as Head – Public Relations & Corporate Communications at Mindtree February 2019 to October 2019. He also worked at Flock as Senior Specialist – Analyst, Influencer and Media Management from July 2017 to November 2018, and PR and Communications Specialist January 2017 to June 2017.
Earlier, Nag spent over five years at Text100, where he held roles including Senior Account Manager between May 2014 to Jan 2017, Account Manager between August 2013 to April 2014, and Account Manager at Vox Public Relations, a Text100 subsidiary from May 2011 to July 2013. He worked in corporate communications at HCL Infosystems from January 2010 to April 2011, followed by roles at IPAN Hill and Knowlton as Senior Management Associate (Sep 2009 – Jan 2010) and Management Associate September 2008 to September 2009, and at Adfactors PR as Senior Account Executive from April 2007 to August 2008.
