Reliance Jio has grabbed the telecom market long back my making its data plan cheap. Millions of users have used the network since last year to pose a threat to other competitions in the market.
But recently a site called Magicapk.com has revealed the name and information of millions of Jio users. The hackers did their job well by revealing customer names, their phone numbers, email ids, circle numbers, and the time when their SIM was activated. Some of them also reveals the Adhar Card Number.
This act was confirmed by many users for certain amount of time and later was proved right when a public forum posted this on their site. The domain was first mentioned on tech forum frendz4m.com on 5th July, where user imranchhimpa spoke about the site.
“hi FRD, here is script that fetch jio number details all information original hogi jo document se active h auski details aa jayegi…link is here-:http://magicapk.com,”
Later the site was found by Reddit which then went viral and people discovered the hoax.

Magicapk.com had to deal with all the problems. But around night they took down the hosting provider but later at night Reliance revealed it was a hoax and not true!
“We have come across the unverified and unsubstantiated claims of the website and are investigating it. Prima facie, the data appears to be unauthentic. We want to assure our subscribers that their data is safe and maintained with highest security. Data is only shared with authorities as per their requirement. We have informed law enforcement agencies about the claims of the website and will follow through to ensure strict action is taken,”
Jio has almost 20 million users. Though this leak is not completely huge but even if this proves to be true, this would be a major data base failure.
