After ruling the FMCG market in India, Baba Ramdev led Patanjali has decided to enter telecom market. In association with BSNL, the company has launched its SIM cards which will be available for the Patanjali employees in the initial days. This is a very big news for the telecom industry as Patanjali with its swadeshi image can attract customers very quickly.
Baba Ramdev launched Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM cards on Sunday and revealed that SIM card owners of Patanjali will get an additional discount on its other products also.
The recharge of price Rs 144 will give facilities such as unlimited calls across the country and 2 GB internet data pack along with 100 free SMSs.
“There are five lakh counters of BSNL and from there people can soon get Patanjali swadeshi-samradhi card,” Baba Ramdev said. He also revealed that customers will also get the benefit of medical and life insurance of Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 5 lakh. However, the covers will be applicable only on road accidents.

Sunil Garg, the Chief General Manager of BSNL praised this bold step taken by Patanjali and claimed that BSNL will support in every possible way. “Patanjali’s plan is BSNL’s best plan. In Rs 144, one can make unlimited calls from any part of the country. We are giving 2 GB data pack, 100 SMSs. The members of the Patanjali has to just show their identity and there SIM will be activated soon after some paperwork,” he said.
