The Mumbai Police is known for its incredible social media team. Often spotted putting witty and humorous memes on Instagram and Twitter, this time, it proceeded with some memes to promote awareness about the second wave of COVID-19 and how everyone should maintain safety protocols.
Unlike previous times where they used moment marketing to create relatable stories and quips for viewers, they used dialogues said by famous Bollywood actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Kajo, Rajesh Khanna, and even Ayushmann Khurrana.
Featuring actor Rajesh Khanna, they used his name to bring out the food [Khaana in Hindi] pun as stated below. The team urges users to order food at home or make food at the least.
Using Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B, they highlighted the blunder of wearing masks below your nose. That is no way to protect you from catching the virus.
Actress Kajol’s name was used to replace the word ‘cajole’. The team specifically mentioned how certain items are not essentials and you shouldn’t step out to get them during this pandemic.
Building on this, Ayushmann Khurrana’s name was utilized to convince a certain Ayush to adhere to the lockdown norms and not step out.
In a similar fashion, quotations for actors Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Vidya Balan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kalki Koechlin, and even Dev Anand have been utilized in the past few days to help people understand the severity of the situation and stay at home.
Do you love these awareness techniques as much as we do? Maintain COVID-19 protocols even while at home and do not go out unless the restrictions are relaxed.
Stay safe!
