Mukesh Ambani looks unstoppable right now as he is expanding Reliance into several new sectors. The success of Jio in Telecom sector has given him confidence to try out new things in the market.
Continuing the expansion, Reliance Brands has announced to launch American popular jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. to India. Not only this, Reliance is bringing American lifestyle label Tory Burch to India, and both these will be launched at Mumbai’s Jio World Centre mall, which is scheduled to open in April 2020.
Currently, Reliance Brands has luxury labels such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Brooks Brothers and Bally in India.
Interestingly, this will be Tiffany & Co.’s third attempt to establish a presence in the Indian market. Both the previous attempts were unsuccessful. Besides the US, Tiffany has stores in China, Australia, Canada, France, UK, Hong Kong, Japan, and the UAE.
Retail Business of Reliance
Reliance industries currently operates its retail business through Reliance Retail Ventures which includes Reliance Retail and Reliance Brands. According to media reports, Reliance Industries will list Reliance Retail soon. As of current information, Reliance Retail has over 40 international brands focusing on luxury, high premium and high street lifestyle. It operates in 661 stores with these international brands.
