The third edition of the Millennial Achievers Awards 2025 once again recognised India’s next-generation talent in advertising, marketing, media, and business, celebrating individuals who are redefining standards and shaping the future of their industries. Among this year’s winners is Yashaswini K of Century Real Estate, who received the Silver award for Corporate Communications & PR Professional of the Year, a distinction that acknowledges her clarity-led approach, strategic thinking, and commitment to elevating brand communication. Speaking to Marketing Mind, Yashaswini reflected on what the recognition means to her, how she entered the field, and the habits that continue to shape her work.
Yashaswini explained that winning the title has been deeply validating. “Winning this title is very encouraging and deeply validating. It tells me that the work I am doing is moving in the right direction and it motivates me to aim even higher,” she said. She added that the recognition also highlighted the often-invisible effort behind communication work. Paraphrasing her thoughts, she noted that awards like these help the industry acknowledge the thinking, planning, and consistency required in the field. “Recognising this work encourages people, sets new standards, and inspires teams to keep pushing the industry forward,” she added.
Tracing her journey, Yashaswini shared that her passion for understanding people and building meaningful connections initially drew her into the world of communications. “No one grows up dreaming of being in communications or PR like they dream of being a doctor or an engineer, but this field brought together everything I enjoyed — people, ideas, and impact,” she said. She added that an early mentor helped shape her path by showing her the difference between simply working and being passionate.
Reflecting on the habits and philosophy that shaped her growth this year, Yashaswini said, “My growth comes from three simple principles: passion, clarity, and continuous learning.” She emphasised that communication work moves at a fast pace and highlighted the need to stay updated, understand shifting audience behaviour, and adapt thoughtfully. Paraphrasing her, staying relevant requires both discipline and curiosity.
Discussing her pivotal career shift, Yashaswini pointed to her transition from agency life to the brand side. “My shift from agency life to the brand side was my biggest turning point. It was a bold move because the role was new, the responsibilities were different, and the expectations were higher,” she said. She added that the move helped her realise her ability to adapt, evolve, and create a stronger impact.
When asked about what excites her most about her category, Yashaswini highlighted storytelling and brand reputation. “Storytelling and brand reputation excite me the most. They hold a lot of power in shaping how people feel about a brand and what they remember,” she said. She also noted the importance of strengthening internal communication frameworks, adding that employees play a crucial role in shaping brand perception. Paraphrasing her, she hopes to push boundaries through deeper narrative-building, stronger digital reputation frameworks, and a more strategic, insight-driven communication approach.
Yashaswini said, “My need to learn and stay relevant keeps me grounded.” Her advice to young professionals is rooted in discipline, curiosity, and consistency. “Stay curious, network, ask questions, and keep learning. It will take you a very long way,” she said. She emphasised that understanding new trends, generations, and expectations helps professionals remain connected and focused.
