Amazon Prime just came out with the digital release of Shoojit Sircar’s new movie Gulabo Sitabo starring Sir Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmaan Khurrana. To make the movie a digital success set in the times of lockdown in India, everything was taken care of, from the poster to the marketing gimmicks opted by the director, actors and fellow friends and fans from the fraternity. Here’s a look at some of the modern marketing techniques opted for the movie.

This might appear as a normal promotion for any film, but a day before the official poster and movie trailer was released, director Shoojit Sircar came on a Zoom call with Amitabh Bachchan sir and Ayushmaan Khurrana to share a teaser trailer. Why Zoom? Because it has officially been regarded as the most used video calling application to keep everyone connected during the coronavirus lockdown across countries.

The crew was kind enough to show us how everything was planned for the movie, including prepping up the sets and preparing Ayushmaan Khurrana’s ‘Baankey’ and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Mirza’.

Gulabo Sitabo’s marketing team definitely kept the entire audience on their toes with creative contest games available on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Several fans and even Actor Vicky Kaushal participated in it.

Mumbai Police’s Stay At Home Message

Even Mumbai Police used Gulabo and Sitabo’s Jodi to spread awareness about how you should stay at home and keep your loved ones safe during the coronavirus pandemic. The tweet was shared by actor Ayushmaan Khurrana.
