Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO), which works for Indian Railways, is organizing a Mega Vendor Meet on 30 August.
This meet is targeted to facilitate various businesses to work with the Indian Railways. It will also improve business prospects for many start-up companies.
RDSO is searching for new vendors which will provide supplies as per the Indian Railways‘ requirements. The organization is looking specifically for those vendors which will provide products for which Railways has only 03 suppliers at the moment.

RDSO has prepared a list for such products. This list can be procured from its website as well.
RDSO is expecting to give multiple orders to various vendors for such products. On a priority basis, Railways is looking for vendors for products like electrical items, Signal & Telecom products, Track & Mechanical items.
The Mega Meet will be organized at Lucknow‘s New Auditorium on 30 August starting from 11 am. No entry fee will be applicable to anyone as per the RDSO.
What significant about this meet is that RDSO is encouraging vendors who wish to make a certain product locally, which is normally imported from other countries. This purpose serves the Make in India initiative started by the Indian government.
Make in India, a type of Swadeshi movement covering 25 sectors of the economy, was launched by the Government of India on 25 September 2014 to encourage companies to manufacture their products in India and enthuse with dedicated investments into manufacturing.
