While Indian embodies a cultural stove of destinations to wander about, the country has just achieved the 139th spot out of 149 countries that were ranked in the World Happiness Report of 2021.
What is the World Happiness Report?
Featured by the Gallup World Poll, the measurement criteria asked a number of users to rate their place of living through a ladder system. The higher it goes, the better the current living situation. With millions of people participating in the same, it turned out that this form of evaluation was the best measure of the quality of life on international terms.
In addition to this, positive responses were recorded as 1 and negative emotions as 0. This was done to calculate whether people had laughed in their area of dwelling the day before. This report is collated by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network and India ranked at the 139th position out of 149 countries.
The happiest country in the world is Finland, as per the reports. While the United States of America has been ranked in the 19th position, Canada and Afghanistan have been accounted as one of the least happy countries in the world.
Last year, 156 countries were surveyed and India ranked at the 144th position. Some countries were not accounted for this year based on their area size in comparison to other countries. Behind India, these are the countries that remain the least happy,
