| Published on November 28, 2021

There are times, when no matter how much ever effort you put in, the job you dreamt of still remains a far-fetched idea. It is important to keep all your professional networking accounts relevant, up-to-date and impressionable.

Provide examples of how and when have you faced challenges and situations that required you to exhibit yourself as a team-player. Companies want to hire those individuals that are cohesive and comfortable working in teams, however small or big.

4. Politely follow up after your interview

Majority individuals who have given an interview think that if they are selected for the job, the recruiting company will call and reach out to them. However, that may not be the case. When you follow-up on your application, you automatically look interested in acquiring the said job. So, if you haven’t heard from the company in a while, don’t hesitate to call up and ask.

5. Positivity is key

Regardless of whatever experience you may have had in your past or existing work culture or company, always be positive. Never talk of any negative work experience or any circumstance that you may have encountered which invoke negative feelings or give a negative image of your past employers. You will be thought of as an accommodating and positive working individual.

6. Ask related and apt questions to interviewers

While preparing for the interview, it is also important to ask interviewer’s a few questions, as they are interested in knowing about your seriousness towards their company and the job in question. You can ask a few of these questions:
1. What are the qualities expected to be successful at the said job.
2.How is performance measured in this role?
3. What departments does this team interact with regularly?
4. What would be the daily responsibilities of this job?

7. Prove it to them, that you will be an asset to them

Talk about instances and ideas that exhibit you as someone indispensable for the company. Tell them about your contributions in your past work experiences that yielded positive results for the company.
