Goafest 2026 Opens Its Doors As Advertising Industry Looks To ‘Reset For Growth’

As the Indian advertising and marketing industry gathers once again on the shores of Goa, the 19th edition of Goafest kickstarts today with a renewed focus on reinvention, collaboration, and future-ready growth.

Hosted at Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon, the three-day festival arrives with the theme “Reset for Growth” – a phrase that reflects the mood of an industry navigating technological disruption, changing consumer behaviour, fragmented media ecosystems, and increasing pressure on measurable business outcomes.

Organised jointly by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and The Advertising Club (TAC), this year’s edition promises expansive formats.

Beyond the scale of the setup, the conversations this year are expected to reflect some of the industry’s biggest ongoing transitions. From artificial intelligence and data ownership concerns to evolving media consumption habits, creator-led ecosystems, platform shifts, measurement challenges, and creativity’s role in driving business growth, the agenda attempts to capture an industry in the middle of transformation.

Industry Leaders, Brand Custodians & Tech Voices Take Centre Stage

With over 60 speakers participating across 20 sessions, the speaker line-up spans advertising, marketing, technology, media, entertainment, business, and sports. Among the notable names expected to take the stage are Prasoon Joshi, Dr Rajiv Kumar, Santosh Desai, Eugene Cheong, and Rakesh Bedi.

Technology-led discussions are expected to be led by industry executives including Satya Raghavan, Haran Ramachandran, and Neha Markanda, highlighting the increasing overlap between platforms, creators, brands, and AI-driven consumer experiences.

At the same time, the festival continues to expand its representation beyond agencies and media companies. This year’s roster includes brand leaders such as Aman Gupta, Rohit Kapoor, Chandan Mendiratta, Tarun Bhagat, Rajiv Dubey, and Ajay Kakar, among several others from the broader client ecosystem.

Entertainment, Sports & Culture Blend Into The Festival Experience

Entertainment and culture also remain central to the Goafest experience. Punjabi music icon Sukhbir Singh and singer Neeti Mohan are expected to perform during the festival, while sports personalities including Harmanpreet Kaur, Preeti Jhangiani, Rahul Chaudhari, and Mandira Bedi will also be part of the broader programming.

ABBY Awards Return With Around 4,000 Entries

Another major highlight remains The ABBY Awards powered by The One Show, which continues to be one of the country’s most closely watched creative honours.

This year, the ABBY Awards powered by The One Show have received close to 4,000 entries, with participation from nearly 300 agencies, companies, and clients. The judging process will involve 243 jury members across 22 categories, alongside 22 jury chairs, including four international jury chairs.

GoaFresh Signals Goafest’s Push Towards Young Talent

Goafest 2026 is also placing significant emphasis on community-led initiatives and industry culture. ‘GoaFresh’, now in its second year, aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by bringing students from leading institutions such as Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad, S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, and Xavier Institute of Communications into the festival ecosystem.

By bringing academia and industry closer, the initiative aims to offer students first-hand exposure to the advertising, media, and marketing ecosystem while helping them build visibility and confidence before entering the professional world.

Festival IPs Aim To Build Community Beyond Conference Rooms

Meanwhile, festival IPs such as “Advertising Rocks” and “Advertising Plays” continue to position Goafest as more than just a conference-led gathering. From live music performances by industry professionals to inter-agency sports competitions including table tennis and pickleball, the programming reflects an attempt to make networking and collaboration feel less transactional and more community-driven.

As conversations around AI, creators, commerce, media fragmentation, and platform dominance continue reshaping the business of advertising, Goafest 2026 arrives at a moment when the industry is being forced to rethink not just how campaigns are built, but how growth itself is defined.
