Ganesh Balakrishnan, the co-founder of Flatheads, recently wrote a blog post to express his thanks to the audience for encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit in Shark Tank India Season 2.
IIT Bombay graduate Ganesh Balakrishnan has become the topic of talk after his Flatheads pitch got aired on Shark Tank Season 2.
He participated in Shark Tank India season 2 and during his pitch, he broke down in tears as he claimed that his startup’s cash is about to vanish and it is extremely difficult for him to continue without any support. His spirit and honesty have won hearts all across India including the judges of the show as Anupam Mittal even extended a job offer to Ganesh.
Responding to this, Ganesh recently shared a post on LinkedIn expressing his gratitude.
He even shared that now almost all the inventory of Flatheads has been sold out in India.
Ganesh Balakrishnan wrote on LinkedIn: “Down, but not out. To be honest, I was dreading the airing of the Flatheads pitch on Shark Tank India. Breaking down on national TV isn’t exactly great for one’s self confidence 😳. What I definitely didn’t expect is the episode to be received the way it has been, and it is very very heartening to see that people are applauding the entrepreneurial spirit – of all startup founders, with me as a proxy ❤ . A heartfelt thank you to the sharks Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal and Namita Thapar for helping me get some perspective. And to Sony and Shark Tank India for giving founders like me a chance to speak about what entrepreneurship is really like.”
He declared that they have almost sold out the entire Flatheads inventory in India.
“Most of all, a million thanks to everyone out there for all the support and love 🙏 . It is taking some effort to process all this, so please give me some time. I’ll respond to everybody as soon as I can. Meanwhile, if you are in the US, you can check out Flatheads sneakers on Zappos (https://lnkd.in/gegVJWpN) and if you are in the UAE, we are on Infinite Kart (https://lnkd.in/gRMxMCij). We’ve almost sold out our inventory in India, so pardon us if you aren’t able to find your size on www.flatheads.in. Would be amazing if you can tell your friends in the US and UAE to try our shoes.”
He added that his 10-year-old daughter loves Peyush Bansal and Vineeta very much.
“And by the way, did I mention that my 10 year old daughter wants to be an entrepreneur? She says she is a fan of Peyush’s no-nonsense mindset, and I know that she admires Vineeta for her cheerfulness and positivity. She is super proud that I managed to get an offer from both of them! She is an artist and is taking pre-orders for her 2023 calendar created with her paintings. Just check out https://lnkd.in/gQU58Zyp if you are interested in getting one! A special shout-out to SNITCH and Siddharth DUNGARWAL for the jacket I wore on the show. The D2C founders community is an example of what the world should be like – honest, positive and always ready to lend a helping hand. Sorry (but not sorry) for the shameless plugs – as entrepreneurs, we are always selling 😎 !”
A tweet from Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal sums up the whole spirit of Entrepreneurship perfectly.
