DP World has signed Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma as its brand ambassador in a long-term partnership aimed at strengthening the company’s presence in global cricket. The association has come after Sharma’s breakout year, during which he has delivered consistent performances across international tournaments.
At the 2025 DP World Asia Cup, Sharma has set a new record for the most runs scored in a single T20I edition of the tournament, amassing 314 runs in seven innings and earning the Player of the Tournament title. His form in bilateral series has further propelled him to the No.1 spot in the ICC Men’s T20I Batter Rankings, with the highest rating ever recorded.
As part of the partnership, Sharma has represented DP World across multiple brand and stakeholder initiatives, including media engagements and digital storytelling focused on performance and innovation. His first official engagement under the partnership has taken place at the Diwali with the Stars evening during the inaugural DP World India Championship.
The announcement has been supported by a video asset featuring Sharma receiving a personalised shirt, with appearances by Sachin Tendulkar and Tommy Fleetwood. The signing has added to DP World’s expanding footprint in cricket, complementing its existing partnerships with the International Cricket Council, the DP World Asia Cup, Delhi Capitals Men’s and Women’s Teams, DP World ILT20, and SA20.
Since October 2023, DP World has also advanced its Beyond Boundaries Initiative, which has focused on increasing access to cricket through grassroots support and a kits-for-runs scheme linked to ICC tournaments. The programme has already delivered twelve repurposed shipping containers to cricket clubs globally, along with 3,000 cricket kits, with further distribution planned.
