Dentsu has appointed Ajay Gupte as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for South Asia. In his new role, Gupte has worked closely with Harsha Razdan, CEO, South Asia, to drive the company’s strategic priorities, strengthen its operating model and support its growth across the region.
As COO, Gupte has been responsible for driving operational excellence, strengthening collaboration across the network and supporting the execution of dentsu’s strategic priorities. He has also focused on enhancing organisational capabilities, enabling client-centric operations and advancing the company’s integrated Marketing, Technology and Consulting offerings.
Gupte has brought nearly three decades of experience across media, marketing, digital transformation and client solutions. Most recently, he has served as President, Client Solutions at WPP Media South Asia and Chief Executive Officer of Wavemaker South Asia. Earlier in his career, he has held leadership roles at WPP Media, TVS Motors and OMD.
