From there on Padukone has been a part of various modeling projects at Lakme Fashion shows to becoming a Kingfisher Calendar girl. Meanwhile, she did plenty of advertisements for many big brand names. It was in 2007 that her acting career took a flight when she came across Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om. Over the years, Deepika’s career has been on uphill and the actor is surely enjoying every bit of it.

Recently, Deepika’s decade-old Malayalam TV commercial for an apparel brand, Naihaa, has been doing rounds over the internet in what seems is a throwback post.

In the first sari ad, Deepika is a modern working woman who knows her traditional values like removing footwear during an arti in office. She then wears a dress to a party but refrains from hugging a stranger and greets him with a Namaste instead. Her ‘sanskari’ attitude wins over the male protagonist and he arrives at her house with his parents to ask her hand in marriage.

While the second ad is a short story about her life post marriage.

Many fans of the actor enjoyed the throwback videos and loved seeing their favorite actor from a time when she had just started her career. While there were many who did not connect with the ad much and found it very much orthodox where a girl’s attire has been given more significance that the girl itself.

Nevertheless, the decade-old ad did go viral on social media in no time bringing back a glimpse of the different projects our actors did before they became famous.
