Chetan Jhawar has been elevated as Head of Hindi Original Movies at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, marking his return to the Amazon ecosystem after a stint at Netflix. He took to LinkedIn to announce the new role.
Prior to this appointment, Jhawar served as Lead, Hindi Original Movies at Netflix. During his more than five-year tenure at the streamer, he also held roles including Manager and Creative for International Original Film at Netflix India, contributing to the platform’s growing Hindi originals slate.
Before joining Netflix in 2019, Jhawar worked as Senior Creative Producer at Balaji Telefilms. He has also held programming and fiction content roles at Star TV Network and Channel V. He has also worked with Red Chillies Entertainment and Leo Burnett.
