Partha Sinha has moved on from his role as President and Chief Brand Officer at Bennett Coleman and Co. (BCCL). In a recent update on his LinkedIn profile, Sinha has taken up a new position as Senior Business Advisor at a leading multinational consulting firm, marking a new chapter in an illustrious career that has spanned over three decades.
During his tenure at BCCL, Sinha held dual roles that underscored his strategic and commercial acumen. As President – Response (Chief Revenue Officer) from 2020 to 2024, he steered the company’s revenue recovery in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing it back to pre-COVID levels in record time — a benchmark achievement in the media industry. From 2024 until his departure in April 2025, he served as President and Chief Brand Officer, leading the P&L for all group brands and orchestrating the synergy between editorial content and brand strategy.
Sinha’s leadership at BCCL was complemented by multiple high-impact roles in the industry. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board at the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), a position he has held since 2021. He is also the Immediate Past President of The Advertising Club and a member of the Executive Committee of the Indian Newspaper Society until March 2025.
In 2024, he was appointed to the advisory board of the International Women Board of Directors (IWBD) – an initiative of On Board Women dedicated to promoting gender diversity at the executive level. His passion for grassroots initiatives is reflected in his role as Chairman of the Times Cricket Shield from 2023 to 2025, one of India’s most storied amateur cricket tournaments.
Prior to BCCL, Sinha’s career spanned across marquee names in advertising and media. He served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director at McCann Worldgroup (2016–2020), and before that, as Managing Director for Publicis South Asia and Chief Strategy Officer for Southeast Asia. From 2008 to 2013, he was the Founding Partner of BBH India, where he helped establish the global agency’s presence in the country.
His earlier years included senior roles at Zee Entertainment as Director of Marketing, Ogilvy & Mather as VP of Strategic Planning, and Citibank NA as Manager of Marketing.
