Amazon Web Services (AWS) has appointed Sriram Santhanam as Head of Startup Business for India, strengthening its engagement with the country’s startup ecosystem.
In this role, Sriram will oversee AWS’s strategy for startups across India, focusing on enabling innovation, accelerating cloud adoption, and supporting collaboration with founders and venture-backed companies. His responsibilities include guiding startups on architectural excellence, go-to-market enablement, and transforming ideas into commercially viable, long-term businesses.
Sriram has over 25 years of experience in B2B sales leadership, spanning multiple industries and business models. In the past four years at AWS, he has led the growth of the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) business, managing a large portfolio and driving expansion across horizontal and vertical SaaS sectors. His expertise in cloud transformation and SaaS will support AWS’s efforts to advance startup engagement in India, helping companies navigate the full lifecycle from platform resilience and security to scaling GTM strategies.
